As summer came to a close in August 2025, we turned our focus to something that matters deeply to our community — helping local children start the school year confident, prepared, and supported.
Through our Back to School, Packed by Kia initiative, Georgetown Kia proudly partnered with Halton Women's Place to support families gearing up for the September 2025 school season.
And thanks to our incredible community, the impact was meaningful.
During the month of August, for every Kia sold, we donated a brand-new backpack filled with essential school supplies to a child supported by Halton Women’s Place.
Each backpack was thoughtfully packed with items students actually need — notebooks, writing supplies, pencil cases, and classroom essentials — helping ease the financial pressure that back-to-school season can bring.
For many families rebuilding their lives, those costs add up quickly. Being able to remove even a small piece of that stress can make a big difference.
In addition to the backpacks funded through vehicle sales, we also accepted new school supply donations at the dealership throughout the campaign.
Our customers and community members showed up with generosity and heart — dropping off backpacks, binders, crayons, calculators, lunch bags, and more.
The growing pile of supplies in our showroom was a powerful reminder of what happens when people come together for a shared purpose.
Halton Women’s Place provides shelter, safety, and support for women and children experiencing abuse. Many of the families they serve are navigating major life transitions — new homes, new schools, new beginnings.
Ensuring children have the tools they need to walk into school prepared is about more than supplies. It’s about dignity. It’s about confidence. It’s about helping them feel like they belong from day one.
We are honoured to support the important work they do in our region.
